DUAL PURPOSE Cartridge Filters

- LayoutRegion129
The CF1/2MCBWFS (½) .5 micron filter uses Solid Pressed Molded Carbon Block Technology to reduce or remove Cysts, Bacteria, Chlorine, Ammonia, Chloramines, Hydro-Carbon Gases, VOC’s, Fine Sediments, Silt, and Clay from untreated water. Small granules of Coconut Shell Carbon are Crushed into Powder, Pressed and Bonded together with a “PATENTED” heat molding process to form a solid BLOCK of Carbon. Coconut Shell Carbon has much smaller cell sites in the fractionated carbon granules than Bituminous Coal, offering faster adsorption and more retention capacity of the Chlorine, Ammonia, Chloramines, Hydro-Carbon Gases, and VOC’s from the untreated water than Bituminous Coal is capable of. The Block Density provides 2-10 times more Volume Weight of Filter Material when compared to other Carbon Filters, also allowing better filtration of the Fine Sediments, Silt, Clay, Cysts, and Bacteria. This filter provides the best protection against VOC’s, Hydro-Carbon Gas, Cyst and Bacteria Contaminants when used in a Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water System as a Storage Tank Post-filter.
Recommended Service Interval on Most Water Supplies: 3 years

- DPF1/2MIMF (1/2) .5 Micron
This (1/2) .5 micron filter is designed to offer the consumer 2 stages of filtration in a single, compact, cartridge element, using Graded Density Core, Carbon Impregnated Micro-Fiber Technology to reduce or remove Dirt, Iron, Sand, Sediment, Silt, Clay, Cysts, Bacteria, Chlorine, Ammonia, Chloramines, Hydro-Carbon Gases, and other fine debris from untreated water. This 1/2 micron filter provides an extremely high density volume weight of filter material by thermally fusing thousands of small micro fibers together, and then impregnating each fiber with Coconut Shell Carbon Powder creating a Modified Carbon Block Filter. The Graded Density Core filter material becomes extremely dense in material weight from the outer perimeter to the center core providing Graduated Depth filtration and allowing more retention of Silt and Clay to be trapped in the inner core, extending the length between service intervals and cartridge replacement. This also assures better reduction or removal of Cysts, Bacteria, super fine Silt and Clay in the 1/2 micron size by reducing the water flow or “Permeation” through the Modified Block. Coconut Shell Carbon has much smaller cell sites in the fractionated carbon granules than Bituminous Coal, offering almost twice as many cell sites than Bituminous Coal due to the smaller size. The higher quantity of smaller cell sites in Coconut Shell Carbon can react quicker to adsorbing the Chlorine, Ammonia, Chloramines, Hydro-Carbon Gases, and VOC’s from the untreated water, and retain these gases for longer periods of time than Bituminous Coal is capable of. This filter would normally be used as the PRIMARY Pre-filter to reduce or remove Sediment and Chlorine from the incoming water in a 3-Stage Reverse Osmosis system, or when combined with other pre-filters in a Multi-stage Reverse Osmosis system, or as a stand alone filter at a single dispensing faucet. This filter offers the BEST protection against Fine Sediments, Chlorine, Hydro-Carbon Gases, Cysts, Bacteria and other contaminants.
Recommended Service Interval on Most Water Supplies: 1 Year

- DPF1MIMF 1 Micron
This 1 micron filter is designed to offer the consumer 2 stages of filtration in a single, compact, cartridge element, using Graded Density Core, Carbon Impregnated Micro-Fiber Technology to reduce or remove Dirt, Iron, Sand, Sediment, Silt, Clay, Cysts, Bacteria, Chlorine, Ammonia, Chloramines, Hydro-Carbon Gases, and other fine debris from untreated water. Similar to the DPF1/2MIMF Filter, this 1 micron filter provides an extremely high density volume weight of filter material by thermally fusing thousands of small micro fibers together, and then impregnating each fiber with Coconut Shell Carbon Powder creating a Modified Carbon Block Filter. The Graded Density Core filter material becomes extremely dense in material weight from the outer perimeter to the center core providing Graduated Depth filtration and allowing more retention of Silt and Clay to be trapped in the inner core, extending the length between service intervals and cartridge replacement. This also assures better reduction or removal of Cysts, Bacteria, super fine Silt and Clay in the 1 micron size by reducing the water flow or “Permeation” through the Modified Block. This filter would normally be used as the PRIMARY Pre-filter to reduce or remove Sediment and Chlorine from the incoming water when combined with other pre-filters in a Multi-stage Reverse Osmosis system, or as a stand alone filter at a single dispensing faucet. This filter offers excellent protection against Fine Sediments, Chlorine, Hydro-Carbon Gases, Cysts, Bacteria and other contaminants.

- DPF20MIMF 20 Micron
This 20 micron filter is designed to offer the consumer 2 stages of filtration in a single, compact, cartridge element, using Conventional Core, Carbon Impregnated Micro-Fiber Technology to reduce or remove Sediments, Sand, Rocks, Chlorine, Hydro-Carbon Gases, and other large debris from untreated water. Minimal amounts of Small Bituminous Carbon granules are crushed into a powder and impregnated into thousands of small micro fibers that are thermally fused and bonded together around a plastic center core to form a Modified Carbon Block cartridge. Rubber end caps are added for additional structural support of the fiber block, but promotes the Growth of Bacteria on the rubber material which causes a health risk. This filter DOES NOT offer Graduated Depth Filtration, resulting in less filter material volume weight per square inch due to the inefficiency of cartridge design which allows the cartridge to become easily saturated and fouled under excessive Sediment input, and requires more frequent service intervals and cartridge replacement. The Bituminous Carbon is mined from the Earth and does not possess the smaller cell site structure of Coconut Shell Carbon, so Bituminous Carbon IS NOT capable of reducing or removing VOC’s (Volatile Organic Chemicals), Ammonia, Chloramines, or other priority level Hydro-Carbon Gas contaminants that the 1/2 micron Modified Carbon Block filter is capable of reducing or removing. Due to the inefficiency of this cartridge design, limited volume of filter material, and larger 20 micron rating, this filter does not allow for removal of any Silt, Clay, Fine Sediments, Cysts or Bacteria that the 1/2 micron Modified Carbon Block is capable of reducing or removing. This filter would normally be used as a Pre-filter to reduce or remove Sediment and Chlorine from the incoming water when combined with other pre-filters in a Multi-stage Reverse Osmosis system, or as a stand alone filter at a single dispensing faucet. However, the consumer must realize that the Silt, Clay, Fine Sediments, Cysts, Bacteria, other debris, and eventually Chlorine Gases will pass through this filter when used in a Reverse Osmosis system, which leads to Fouling, and Damage of the Membrane Filter, requiring frequent service intervals and cartridge replacement.
Recommended Service Interval on Most Water Supplies: 1-3 Months

- DPF20MIP 20 Micron
This 20 micron filter is designed to offer the consumer 2 stages of filtration in a single, compact, cartridge element, using Carbon Impregnated Cellulose Paper Technology to reduce or remove Sediments, Sand, Rocks, Chlorine, Hydro-Carbon Gases, and other large debris from untreated water. Minimal amounts of Small Bituminous Carbon granules are crushed into a powder and impregnated onto sheets of cellulose paper and rolled around a plastic center core. Rubber end caps are added for additional structural support of the rolled paper, but promotes the Growth of Bacteria on the rubber material which causes a health risk. Bituminous Carbon is mined from the Earth and does not possess the smaller cell site structure of Coconut Shell Carbon, so Bituminous Carbon IS NOT capable of reducing or removing VOC’s (Volatile Organic Chemicals) Ammonia, Chloramines, or other priority level Hydro-Carbon Gas contaminants that the 1/2 micron Modified Carbon Block filter is capable of reducing or removing.
