    The CF1/2MCBWFS () .5 micron filter uses Solid Pressed Molded Carbon Block Technology to reduce or remove Cysts, Bacteria, Chlorine, Ammonia, Chloramines, Hydro-Carbon Gases, VOC’s, Fine Sediments, Silt, and Clay from untreated water. Small granules of Coconut Shell Carbon are Crushed into Powder, Pressed and Bonded together with a “PATENTED” heat molding process to form a solid BLOCK of Carbon. Coconut Shell Carbon has much smaller cell sites in the fractionated carbon granules than Bituminous Coal, offering faster adsorption and more retention capacity of the Chlorine, Ammonia, Chloramines, Hydro-Carbon Gases, and VOC’s from the untreated water than Bituminous Coal is capable of. The Block Density provides 2-10 times more Volume Weight of Filter Material when compared to other Carbon Filters, also allowing better filtration of the Fine  Sediments, Silt, Clay, Cysts, and Bacteria. This filter provides the best protection against VOC’s, Hydro-Carbon Gas, Cyst and Bacteria Contaminants when used in a Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water System as a Storage Tank Post-filter.

    SED1MMF - Substitute Sediment Pre-Filter for Ametek®, Aqua-Pure®, Bruner®, Challenger®, Culligan®, Ecowater®, GE®, Hague®, Hydrotech®, Kinetico®, KISS®, Nimbus®, PJD®, Premier®, PuRO-Twist®, PureGen®, Pure Safe®, PureTel®, Rainsoft®, Sears®, TGI-Pure®, US Filter®, Water Factory®, WaterSafe®, Watts® and other Filtration Systems.

    This 1 micron filter uses Graded Density Core, Micro-Fiber technology to remove Dirt, Iron, Sand, Silt, Clay, and Bacteria from untreated water. This filter provides an extremely High Density Volume Weight of filter material by thermally fusing thousands of small micro fibers together. The Graded Density Core filter material becomes extremely dense in material weight from the outer perimeter to the center core providing Graduated Depth filtration and allowing more retention of Silt and Clay to be trapped in the inner core, extending the length between service intervals and cartridge replacement. Cysts, Bacteria, super fine Silt and Clay in the 1 micron size will also be removed by this filter. This filter would normally be used as a pre-filter in a 3-stage Reverse Osmosis system using an Osmosis Membrane filter, or combined with other Pre-filters in a Multi-Stage Reverse Osmosis system, or as a stand alone filter. This filter will remove fine particles from your water supply down to the 1 micron size when compared to other Sediment filters sold at the consumer level that have a “NOMINAL” micron rating between 5 and 50 microns, that allow more dirt to pass through the larger micron rated filters which fouls and eventually plugs the Membrane Filter. Other Sediment filters cannot retain as much dirt as the 1 micron filter because they do not have as much filter material volume weight do to the inefficiency of their cartridge design. The 1 micron filter offers the best protection against Premature fouling of a Membrane filter from Silt, Clay, and other Fine Sediments.

    This 5 micron filter uses Conventional Core, Micro-Fiber technology to remove Dirt, Rocks, Sand, Sticks, Bugs, and other large debris from untreated water. This filter is manufactured by thermally fusing thousands of small micro fibers together. This filter DOES NOT offer Graduated Depth Filtration, resulting in less filter material volume weight per square inch due to the inefficiency of cartridge design which allows the cartridge to become easily saturated and fouled under excessive Sediment input, and requires more frequent service intervals and cartridge replacement. Cysts, Bacteria, and Super Fine Silt, Clay, and Debris WILL NOT be removed by this filter and will be passed on to the Membrane Filter if used in a Reverse Osmosis System, which would eventually result in premature Membrane failure. This filter would normally be used as a pre-filter for single dispensing faucets in a Bathroom, Kitchen Sink, or an Island Sink to prevent faucet screens from plugging, or, combined with other Pre-filters in a Multi-stage Reverse Osmosis system when used on Well Water, or, as a stand alone filter. This filter can be used successfully in a Multi-Stage Reverse Osmosis System as a Primary Pre-filter providing a 1 micron or lower micron Filter is used as the Secondary Pre-filter to trap the Silt, Clay, Bacteria, and Super Fine Sediments before entering the Membrane Filter.

This filter is manufactured by rotationally winding strings made of polypropylene fibers around a plastic center core. This filter DOES NOT offer Graduated Depth Filtration, resulting in less filter material volume weight per square inch due to the inefficiency of cartridge design, which allows the cartridge to become easily saturated and fouled under excessive Sediment input, and requires more frequent service intervals and cartridge replacement. Cysts, Bacteria, Super Fine Silt,  Clay, Fine Sediments and Debris WILL NOT be removed by this filter and will be passed on to the Membrane Filter if used in a Reverse Osmosis System, which would eventually result in premature Membrane failure. This filter would normally be used as a pre-filter for single dispensing faucets, spouts, and heads in a Bathtub, Shower, or Laundry Sink where larger debris plugs the screens, or, combined with other Pre-filters in a Multi-stage Reverse Osmosis system when used on Well Water, or, as a stand alone filter.     This 25 micron filter uses Folded Pleat technology to remove Dirt, Rocks, Sand, Sticks, Bugs, Precipitated Iron, and other large debris from untreated water. This filter is manufactured by folding sheets of polyester and polypropylene into pleats and attaching them to a plastic center core with plastic end caps as reinforcement. This filter DOES NOT offer Graduated Depth Filtration, and has a minimal amount of filter material volume weight per square inch due to the inefficiency of the folded pleat cartridge design, which inhibits the cartridge from removing Fine Sediments, Bacteria, and Debris, allowing them to be passed on to the Membrane Filter if used in a Reverse Osmosis System which would eventually result in premature Membrane failure. The thin wall pleated design will become easily saturated with Fine Sediments and Debris, requiring more frequent service intervals and cartridge replacement. The folded pleats will trap more Sand, Rocks, Precipitated Iron, and other larger Debris between the pleats than the solid density fiber cartridges, and they can be sprayed and cleaned for reuse when filtering large amounts of Sand and Rocks. This filter would normally be used as a pre-filter for single dispensing faucets, spouts, and heads in a Bathtub, Shower, or Laundry Sink where larger debris plugs the screens. This filter is not recommended for use in Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Systems.
